Live in MontrealGianquitto’s concert presents mediterranean original compositions (Jazz/World) extracted from the first album “My Big Room” (Wide Sound 2005) and the upcoming album “NIBIRU” that has been recorded with famous Dutch jazz musicians Bert van den Brink, Jasper Somsen and Haye Jellema.

Short bio: Luca Gianquitto (1978 – Italy) has a Jazz music degree at the Conservatory of Music in Naples, specializing in Big Band arrangement and Jazz Improvisation. During his career he travels and plays as professional musician in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Turkey, Tunisia, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, on venues and events such as Montreal Jazz Festival, Eurojazz Festival Mexico City, Istanbul Jazz festival.
In 2005 he was recognised among the “New Italian Jazz talents” by Chicco Bettinardi commission and in the same year he signed off a contract with Wide Sound, released the acclaimed instrumental album “My Big Room”. Read more…
